It's vital that you, me, all of us - resist the attempts to separate and thereby demoralize us. "They" do this by giving us obvious and easily detectable falsehoods to contend with. The faithful have to violate their own integrity to absorb the nonsense, and the rest of us have to contend with a mixture of being alarmed and insulted.
